Everyone who walks by my office and glances in for the first time is immediately intrigued by my collection of miscellaneous knickknacks I've accumulated over the years.

Everything from bobble-head dolls, a dashboard monk sitting on a spring, a box of Cocoa Pebbles from Mexico, an autographed skull, luchador wrestling masks, a Harry Houdini action figure that I found at a yard sale, a foam finger shaped like the Pabst Blue Ribbon logo, race awards, books, Washington Redskins and Alabama football memorabilia, volcano dust, an autographed baseball, stress toys, and whole lot more!

I wouldn't consider myself a hoarder by any means, if you see my home and how clean and uncluttered it is you'd understand, but my office has always been a landing place for the trinkets I've picked up along this now 24 year journey working in radio.

I have enough stuff that we can investigate a few new items each week for a while so we'll first start with a few of my favorites.

First up is a poster for one of my favorite movies Urban Cowboy! "Hard hat days and honky-tonk nights" says it all and gives you insight to who Monk really is.  I found this at a yard sale in an old poster frame for $1. I chunked the frame and put this baby up!

Next up is a lug nut. Strange right? Well, I just so happen to be a massive fan of NASCAR and an equally massive fan of Kurt Busch. This lug nut was given to me by my friend John whose cousin was rear tire changer for Kurt when he drove the #22 Shell Pennzoil Dodge for Penske Racing. They surprised me with a few of these and even a tire from one of Kurt's race cars!

This is one of my favorites for sure. Not just because I love PBR but it's made of foam and has a slit in the bottom where you can wear it on your hand like a foam finger! I acquired this gem at a bar in Memphis from the rockabilly band Hillbilly Casino who at one time were sponsored by Pabst.

And finally this round is my luchador mask. I have been a fan of Mexican wrestling for years and I especially love the mysterious masked luchadors. I purchased this one while on family vacation in Playa de Carmen, Mexico. It's a replica of one of the many masks worn by the world famous Dr. Wagner.

Next week we'll examine a few more treasures that grace the shelves of my office.
