
Summer Jobs Open Now for Tuscaloosa Youth Ages 15–21
Summer is officially here in Tuscaloosa and now more than ever students and youth are in need of something to occupy their time.

There are plenty of things to do in the summer when kids are out of school. For younger kids, activities like going bowling, library trips, museums, camping board games and more.
What if you have a teenager in the summer?
Many times, a summer job is the perfect way to not only keep them occupied, but teach them values like hard work, punctuality, and they can earn some extra money.
Temporary Emergency Services in Tuscaloosa has an opportunity for youth ages 15-21 to earn money this summer with the Hope Initiative Summer Jobs Program sponsored by the City of Tuscaloosa.
According to the application, the program provides valuable work experience for youth and young adults ages 15 to 21 who reside within the Tuscaloosa city limits.
Participants in the program will work 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, for seven weeks, with a schedule of five hours per day. The pay rate is $13.35 per hour.
Interviews for jobs will be held May 27–29, 2025, and a mandatory orientation will take place on June 9, 2025.
