Potential Threats
The National Weather Service in Birmingham said that the main threats are for “damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and large hail up to quarter size.”

The threats for the rest of the week include damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and a hail threat.
Wednesday
This is an afternoon threat generally along and south of the I-20 corridor.
Thursday
This threat generally persists from late morning through the afternoon, primarily along and south of US Hwy 80.
Friday
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said a “cold front will push into Alabama Friday with a continued threat of showers and thunderstorms. But by afternoon, the best chance of rain shifts into South Alabama.”
Weekend
“Global models suggest another batch of showers and storms will move through the state late Sunday and Sunday night,��� said Spann.
