Well, I won't kill you necessarily, but it will scare you half to death and possibly make you hurt yourself real bad. There is something about the cold that make me a static magnet.

I look like a clown every time I get out of my car. I rapidly, but ever so lightly, like a cat slapping at a dog, tap my car door to avoid a huge, blue sparking shock. I do the same thing to metal door handles of business I am about to enter. I look like I have a bad case of OCD.

Last night, when I reached for the fire poker, A massive, blue, noise making spark jumped at least an inch to my hand and made me scream like a girl. Sometimes, when I move the bed covers around, I see hundreds of little blue sparks in the dark. I don't see or hear about other people having this problem except my poor 4 year old. He thinks it's funny. (That's his hair in the attached pic)

My wife uses "Bounce Sheets" in the dryer. I don't think I drag my feet when I walk. Do you suffer form this static plague?

The good folks of wikipedia.org defines static this way:

Static electricity is an imbalance of electric charges within or on the surface of a material. The charge remains until it is able to move away by means of an electric current or electrical discharge. Static electricity is named in contrast with current electricity, which flows through wires or other conductors and transmits energy.
