Expect Showers and Strong-Severe Thunderstorms Across Alabama
Over the next few days, you can expect much of the same, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon into the evening. Some of these storms could pose concerning threats, such as wind gusts and lightning.
Severe Weather Threat Spans Multiple States and Days
We are closely monitoring the multi-state and multi-day severe weather threat that started in the “Plains Monday into Tuesday, where it produced reported tornadoes, huge hail and high winds from Kansas and Colorado to Minnesota, including a 101-mph wind gust in Wichita, Kansas,” said The Weather Channel.
Today, the areas under a watchful eye are the Great Lakes, Ohio, the mid-Mississippi valleys, and Northern Texas.
Thursday, the system will pose a threat to multiple states, including Alabama and our neighboring states. This system will then track up past New York and Boston.
