We all have a talent of some kind, but what if your talent could put a cash prize in your hand? Thanks to Kip Tyner Productions and Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports, the opportunity is here again at the 35th-annual Talent Search.

This event isn't just looking for the conventional talents we all expect to see at a showcase of this kind. There are several categories, including animal acts, magic acts, wheel sports and several others.

Do you have the unique talent of being a ventriloquist, clogger or contortionist? There are categories for you as well. Your talent may be cheerleading, dance line or the drumline. All three are welcome in the Talent Search starting this Thursday.

There are also categories for male vocalists, junior vocalists, female vocalists, drama/comedy, fiddlers and jugglers. Over $5,000 in prizes will be given away during the Talent Search.

The auditions will be at the Belk center at 2101 Browers Park Drive on Thursday and Friday starting at 6 p.m. The final round of auditions is this Sunday, August 12 beginning at 1 p.m. The finals will be held on August 19 at the Bama Theater at 6 p.m.

The talent search benefits Eagles Wings, a non-profit with the goal of promoting the needs and welfare of those with a disability. You can find out more information on Eagles Wings at ewitusc.org.
