Shooter Jennings Releases Dark New Animated Video

The staunchly independent Shooter Jennings, son of Waylon, continues to do things his way and that has never been more apparent than with the video for his latest release.

Whether he's running a record label, mixing eery cover songs with Jamey Johnson and Marilyn Manson's bass player, recording distorted guitar laden tributes to George Jones or calling out the latest batch of country music "outlaws," Shooter is doing things on his own terms. I guess you could say it's in his blood.

Jennings' label, Black Country Rock is releasing a compilation entitled BCR Mixtape 2014 (order it here) and the singer chose to add his countrified version of 'She Talks to Rainbows' a song originally recorded by punk rock legends and Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Ramones. To accompany the mixtape and song release, a dark animated video was created and is now making its rounds across social media.
