Two rounds of severe weather are possible for Tuscaloosa County Monday-Wednesday this week. Strong gradient winds today ahead of the first system will result in sustained wind speeds of 25-35 MPH with higher gusts. Round one of severe storms, associated with a strong cold front, will bring a line of storms into West AL after 6 PM Monday night.

Threats in tonight’s line of storms include damaging winds of up to 60 MPH and possibly a spin-up tornado. Round two of severe storms: storms form as early as 6 PM Tuesday night. Threats: damaging winds, hail, and possibly tornadoes. The severe threat should end Wednesday morning but rain will continue through the early afternoon. 3.5” of rain is possible in Tuscaloosa County through Wednesday evening.
