Across the state of Alabama, more than 130,000 customers were impacted by storms this past weekend.

As of this time, roughly 3,200 customers are without power in Tuscaloosa County.

Those outages account for the vast majority of power outages in West Alabama.

The spokesperson from Alabama Power, Danielle Kimbrough, told us that additional line crews and storm resources joined Alabama Power teams today to restore service as safely and quickly as possible.

Of course, Kimbrough reminds everyone that downed power lines should be avoided at all costs.

Remain weather aware as the severe weather season continues in our state over the next few months.

We will keep you informed of all severe weather warnings and updates during this time.
