Possible Winter Storm in the Making for Deep South, Alabama
The Townsquare Media Weather Center is monitoring the possibility of another winter storm impacting the Deep South, including Alabama.
Yes or No: Will it Happen? Short Answer: It's hard to say, but here is what we do know.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said, “The new global model runs (GFS, ECMWF) are showing stronger signals of a potential winter storm for parts of the Deep South Tuesday, Tuesday night, and possibly into early Wednesday of next week (January 21-22).

This doesn’t mean you should run to the store and stock up on bread and milk. By the way, I never understood that. Bread, yes. Milk, not so much. It does mean you need to stay informed.
What is certain is that frigid temperatures will be rolling into the Yellowhammer State next week. It’s shaping up that the “northern half of Alabama will likely stay below freezing all day Monday and all day Tuesday lows will drop well down into the teens by Tuesday and Wednesday morning,” said Spann.
The weather outlook will become more apparent as we approach the possible event. Until then, stay informed with reliable information.
