Insurance executive Brian Thompson was walking to the front doors of the hotel where he was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at an investor conference.

Lying in wait was his killer who boldly and quickly ended his life without even seeing the gunman's face. Major clues left behind in the form of sharpie-marked shell casings spell out the motive.

The shooter wrote three words. Those words were "deny", "defend", and "depose".

According to health insurance insiders, those words define the common practice of denying health insurance coverage.

First, you deny the claim.

Second, you defend that denial.

Lastly, you depose the claim and the person filing the claim. Of course, that means you get rid of that claim without paying a cent.

It seems clear that the killer has a personal tie to a loved one or has been denied critical health coverage.

This murder has launched a torrent of outrage and hate for health insurance companies and their well-paid people at the top.

The investigation and manhunt for the suspect are moving quickly with multiple updates in the last 24 hours.

One popular social media platform, "Reddit", is known for its crime groups and investigators, who are often in law enforcement.

New York police have already released information on the suspect riding a Greyhound bus from Atlanta to New York.

That's where it begins to hit very close to home.

An anonymous law enforcement source claims investigators believe the brazen assassin is from Alabama or Georgia.
