Several weeks ago, Scott Shepherd and I discussed my son Zachary's decision to wear a suit to school on picture day. We were both impressed that he would turn his nose up at the traditional attire worn by students on picture day.

The night before he was to wear his suit, he approached me and asked to borrow a $100 bill to stick in his front pocket. He promised to bring the money back the following afternoon, but I declined to loan it to him in the fear that the cash could provide motivation for a shanking.

Yesterday, his school picture proof arrived. I'll be ordering a large print along with various wallet sizes so that I may distribute them to as many people as possible.

Keeping this for myself would be stingy.
