
Sneak Peek: May Weather Conditions & Temps Alabamians Can Expect
The past several days in Alabama could have been a preview for temperatures in Alabama during May.
According to The Weather Channel, “the May temperature pattern will likely be similar to April for much of the United States.”
What Does This Mean for Alabama?
Temperature-wise, according to the Climate Prediction Center, the entire Yellowhammer State in May is “leaning above average by 33-40%.”
The May precipitation chance is “above average by 40-50%,” said the Climate Prediction Center.

The average highs for the beginning of May are around 78 °F, while temperatures rise to an average of 85 °F at the end of the month. Also, May is the last month of the severe weather season in the spring. In addition, May is the 4th wettest month on average.

Sneak peek at the summer, “temperatures may trend closer to average across the southern tier this summer,” said The Weather Channel.
