Dora Police say that 19-year-old Nicholas Hawkins was reported missing last weekend after the teen telephoned his mother saying, "someone is trying to kill me."

The Walker County Coroner is now saying that the body found Tuesday night has been positively identified as Nicholas Hawkins. An autopsy is being performed at the state forensics lab in Huntsville.

Walker County deputies responded to a tip and found the body in a wooded area off of KD Byrd Station Road late Tuesday night. Walker County Coroner Joey Vick referred to the area where the body was found as an "illegal dump site."

21-year-old Joshua Adam Reese, considered a person of interest in the case, is being held in the Walker County jail.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hawkins family during this horrible tragedy.
