New Grant Makes Kentuck’s Art Classes More Accessible
A staple in the West Alabama community recently got some amazing news. The Kentuck Art Center recently announced a grant that will help support a workshop series for children.

"Kentuck Art Center has received a grant from the Community Foundation of West Alabama to support its early childhood workshop series Imagination in Motion," Kentuck Art Center said in a press release sent to Townsquare Media.
Before, the workshop series was on a fixed tuition but now, they will shift to a "Pay what you can" model starting July 2025 all the way through June 2026.
The goal of the new model is to allow more families to access the workshop series for their children.
“By removing the cost barriers to participation, Tuscaloosa children of all backgrounds will have access to the developmental benefits of multi-arts instruction,” said Samantha Wolf in the press release. Wolf is the arts education assistant at Kentuck Art Center.
“Early arts education develops social, motor, spatial, and language skills and leads to better outcomes for children in our community.”
Advance registration for Imagination In Motion is still required, as class sizes are limited to 10 students. Classes will take place at Kentuck Queen City, located at 1901 Jack Warner Parkway on Wednesdays from 9am-9:45am. All supplies will be provided, including aprons for adult participants.
