
Aliceville Man Pleads Guilty To Murder Charge
In an announcement from the 24th Judicial Circuit Court, the District Attorney says that Erick DeWayne Lindsey pleaded guilty to murdering his uncle, Willie Lindsey.
Now, Lindsey will serve 30 years in prison for the killing. The murder occurred in 2023 in the early morning hours of February 24th.
When officers arrived at the scene, they determined that Willie Lindsey had suffered gunshot wounds that were fatal.
Investigators found that the murder came after an argument between the two men after spending time at a local bar.
District Attorney Andy Hamlin stated, "This was a violent and deliberate act that ended a man's life and deeply affected an entire family".
Hamlin also thanked everyone at the Pickens County Sheriff's Office for their hard work, as well as the Aliceville and Carrollton police departments for their contributions to the investigation.
