If there is one thing parents in the Tuscaloosa area could do, it's ease the amount of money it takes to raise the children. Luckily, when it comes to education, parents can get a little help in that department thanks to a Moundville official.

According to a post on Facebook, students K-12 can receive tutoring in Moundville free of charge beginning February 3rd.

"When we invest in our children, we invest in the future of our community," said Councilwoman Susie Patrick on a Facebook post.

As Councilwoman for District 5, I am committed to bringing meaningful resources directly to our families and children. Through collaboration with The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse School of Accountancy (LIFT), we are proud to offer free K–12 youth tutoring right here in our community. This program provides individualized academic support from UA students and helps ensure our youth have the tools they need to succeed—academically and beyond."

The flyer posted with the announcement says that tutoring will start February 3rd and it will be held at First Missionary Baptist Bennet Life Center in Moundville. Tutoring will begin at 3:45 and end at 5:15.
