When it comes to bringing life into the world, preparation matters.

That is the mindset behind the upcoming Childbirth Education Class hosted by WAWC Healthcare in Tuscaloosa. The goal is simple but powerful: education is empowerment, especially during pregnancy and birth.

This one day class is designed to help families walk into labor, delivery and postpartum recovery feeling informed instead of overwhelmed. Organizers say the course will cover every stage of labor, comfort and breathing techniques, partner support, building a birth plan, newborn care and breastfeeding basics. Postpartum recovery is also part of the conversation, giving families a realistic look at what happens after baby arrives.

The class creates a supportive and judgment free space for expecting parents, whether they are planning a hospital birth, considering VBAC options or simply exploring what is best for their family.

Knowledge reduces fear. Preparation builds confidence. Support changes everything.

The upcoming session will be held February 25, 2026 from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm at 535 Jack Warner Parkway, Suite I, in Tuscaloosa. Families can call 205 556 2026 or visit wawchealth.com to register.
