Both Bediako's legal team and Taylor Askew, who was representing the NCAA, mentioned multiple cases and other athletes. Bediako's legal team argued that if Bediako had known revenue sharing and NIL would grow into what it is now, Bediako would not have left Alabama to declare for the 2023 NBA draft. Bediako's team also mentioned Texas A&M men's basketball player Rashaun Agee, who they said played professionally before attending college.

Other cases that were brought up by both Bediako's legal team and Askew with the NCAA included:

-Antonio Langham's napkin incident after Alabama's 1993 Sugar Bowl win over the Miami Hurricanes
-Flood v. Kuhn (MLB exempt from antitrust laws)
-O'Bannon v. NCAA (NCAA video game)
-Pavia v. NCAA
-Tennessee 2024 case, changing the NCAA's definition of professionalism and amateurism
-Upcoming Trinidad Chambliss case
-Upcoming Joey Aguilar case

Another argument point from Bediako's legal team was that he is on an athletic scholarship again with the University of Alabama, which is allowing him to complete his degree. If Judge Pruet does not grant the injunction and dissolves the temporary restraining order, then his legal team argued that he would not be able to complete his degree, despite making $40-50 thousand dollars per year during his three years in the NBA G-League.

Askew and the NCAA argued against Bediako's team's point of using the "five years to play four seasons." Bediako played two seasons at Alabama and played two seasons in the NBA G-League, meaning he's played four seasons, regardless of the fact that Bediako is still within his five-year window.

Final proposed orders were ordered to be in by 4:00 p.m. CT on Friday, with Judge Pruet saying a decision would come "soon."
