Here's One Cool Cat That Could Use A New Home

Having a pet while I was growing up really helped me learn responsibility. Giving the dog a bath, taking them for a walk, and making sure I fed them were all things that taught me how to care for something other than myself. I had a pet bird growing up too which was less stressful than having a dog but was still just as fun!

You can give your kids a chance to create great memories with their own family pet, or adopt a pet for yourself. Every week we team up with the Humane Society of West Alabama to highlight a pet who is in search of a new home. This week's HSWA Pet of the Week is Creamsicle.

Press Release

Creamsicle is an approximately 2-year old cream and orange-colored cat. She was found with her baby kittens, but now they are grown and she is ready for a home where she will be treated like a princess. Creamsicle will come right up to you for pets and will start purring right away. She's incredibly sweet and mostly keeps to herself at the shelter. She does not like to be confined and only tolerates being held for a very short time.

Creamsicle is up-to-date on vaccinations, negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $75. If you are interested in giving this retired momma a home, please set up an appointment to meet her by emailing humaneswa@yahoo.com or by calling 205-554-0011 (leave a message). All adopters are required to be pre-approved by filling out the adoption application on our website.
