Happy birthday Nate Oats! Happy birthday Nate G-oats! The third year Alabama Crimson Tide basketball coach turns 47 years old today and all of Alabama nation celebrates him. Oats brought in the No. 21, No. 12 and No. 14 ranked recruiting classes while at the helm for the Crimson Tide. He's turned that into one of Alabama's most successful season's ever in 2020. Oats led Alabama to winning the SEC regular season and tournament championships, winning both for the Tide for the first time since 1987.

Happy Birthday coach Nate Oats!

The Crimson Tide has totally bought into Oats and his high-flying style, getting up and down the court and overwhelming teams with his face paced barrage of 3-point shots.

Expectations are high for the Tide as Oats enters year number three on the bench. Can Alabama dominate the SEC just as it did in 2020 under Oats? Is the Tide ready to go farther than last season's Sweet 16 appearance?

Only time will tell but for now we celebrate our coach and what he's done for the program. Alabama now recruits at an international level, as evidenced by grabbing a handful of players from the Great White North. The Tide was also able to land top in-state prospect JD Davison, keeping the talent at home, something not always promised in previous regimes.

Happy Birthday coach Nate Oats! May you unwrap 3-point shots, layups and hard-hat points as you keep preparing for the upcoming 2021 season.
