When it comes to Golf, viewers have several reasons why they choose to watch it. Starting with an appreciation of technical skill & consistency from top pros who execute almost perfect swings time after time, to the love for the relaxed tempo or calming pace of the game in general, you can find a way to appreciate this game.

Golf Digest put together a list of the best golf courses in Alabama. The state is known to be a nationally recognized, top tier destination in the golf industry. Known for the Robert Trnt Jones Golf Trail that host 11 sites, 26 courses, and 468 holes in all, this trail is built to attract tourists and retirees alike.

At the top of that list is Shoal Creek near the Birmingham area. Previously ranked at #1 this course has a reputation for being the premier golfing location in the state. This location has hosted the PGA Championship twice and also has hosted the U.S. Women's Open back in 2018.

Additionally, Birmingham host about 5 of these top locations making it a great place to get in the sport. From Robert Trent at Ross Bridge, to The Country Club of Birmingham: West, there are plenty of places to tap into.
