Extreme Cold: Updated Hard Freeze Warning for Areas of Alabama
A “Hard Freeze Warning” has been issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
The first warning goes until Wednesday, January 17, at 11 a.m.
The second warning goes from Wednesday, January 17, at 9 p.m. until Thursday, January 18 at 8:00 a.m.

It is in place for portions of Alabama, including the Townsquare Media coverage area.

Please remember that “prolonged sub-freezing temperatures may cause pipes to burst. Bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills can result in hypothermia or frostbite. These conditions are life-threatening to those with prolonged exposure or without access to warmth,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
