Empty Bowls, Full Hearts

As we anticipate another day to join our family members in giving thanks for all the God has blessed us with, let us remember those who have no family, no homes and in some cases, no food.

Empty Bowls is a faith based event to raise awareness about hunger right here at home.  This Friday between the hours of 11:00 and 2:00  visit the University Presbyterian Church located at 1127 8th Street. For a minimum donation of $10, you will receive a beautiful handmade bowl and a delicious lunch of soup which benefits the UPC Deacon's Food Pantry.

Local artists have donated handmade bowls and area restaurants are donating soup. Tickets can be purchased by contacting University Presbyterian Church at (205) 752-5422 or from a member of UPC.
