Former Crimson Tide and current Tennessee Titans running back shows that he's more than just a great football player but also a great human being. Henry, the reigning AP Offensive Player of the Year, donated $15,000 to a Nashville firefighter who lost his home to a house fire.

Jeremey Taylor, a Nashville firefighter and a Titans fan lost his home in January. Taylor and his wife and four daughters were not in the home during the time of the fire, but it still cost the family greatly. Henry was alerted to the situation through social media and decided to step in.

According to Caitlyn Shelton of Fox 17 in Nashville, Henry was happy to step in.

“I saw the tweet and I was just touched by it, losing a home is such a tragic occurrence,” Henry told Shelton of Fox 17 Nashville. “Not only did I see the tweet, but I saw that he was a Titans fan and also a first responder. Nashville has been through so much as a community – the tornado, the pandemic going on, and then the Christmas bombing. I just wanted to be able to help someone in need and someone who has been helping everyone else throughout this pandemic. I was just touched by what I had seen about Jeremy and his family on Twitter and just wanted to do anything I could to help them. Just touched by his family and wanted to help Jeremy in his own time of need.”

Henry, a Heisman Trophy winner, was the NFL Offensive Player of the Year and has accolades at every level of football but its more than his running prowess that makes him so popular with fans.

He arraigned the donations through two organizations that Henry is tied to. His foundation, Two All, donated $10,000 and Campbell's Chunky Soup donated the other $5,000.
