Emma Caroline Warren Takes Final Bow on ‘The Voice’

Emma Caroline Warren, Tuscaloosa’s singing sensation, has taken her final bow on NBC’s “The Voice."

Last week, she competed in the Four-Way Knockout round, which involved one singer from each team. Country music star Blake Shelton, Warren's coach, used his “save” on her after her performance with duet partner Cam Anthony.

Warren, along with three other contestants who were “saved” by their coaches, had to battle their way out of the trenches in the Four-Way Knockout round.

The winner – Devan Blake Jones, a member of Nick Jonas’ Team – will now advance to the weekly live broadcasts where he will compete for audience votes. Warren said that while she is disappointed that her journey on “The Voice” is over, she is incredibly grateful for the experience.

“My biggest takeaway from this whole experience is learning to believe in myself,” Warren said. “I trust that the Lord has a plan for me, and this was just my time to go.”

Warren has even noticed improvements in her vocal abilities, which she credits to Shelton.

“There’s definitely notes that I just would never have been able to hit before the show,” she said. “I feel like Blake and 'The Voice' in general pushed me. It’s a competition, so I never wanted to say 'no' to trying something new. I wanted to try new things and I surprised myself.”

Vocal coaching from “The Voice” not only helped improve Warren's singing voice but also helped her learn new singing techniques.

“I learned different ways to hit notes,” she said. “I feel stronger. My range is better.”

She also gave credit to her fellow duet partner, Cam Anthony, who she referred to as “the fifth coach.”

Now that her journey on “The Voice” has come to a close, Warren has returned to her home in Nashville, where she is continuing to work on her music career. She’s even already recorded her own version of Kacey Musgraves' “Slow Burn," the song that originally left judge’s chairs spinning during the audition round.

Her first single, which is being recorded this week, is next on her musical docket.

Warren has also already begun booking shows, which will be performed live around downtown Nashville.

“I am so excited about getting back on stage,” Warren said. “I feel like a completely new person.”
