DCH to Host Free Health Fair on Mental Wellness
DCH Health System will host its third annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Snow Hinton Park in Tuscaloosa. The free, family-friendly event is open to the public and even welcomes dogs.
This year’s fair shines a spotlight on mental health awareness, offering a variety of wellness activities and free health screenings. North Harbor will be on hand with information on local mental health resources, while DCH’s Diabetes and Nutrition Services team will lead a live healthy cooking demonstration.
Attendees can also participate in “Mindfulness Breaks” designed to teach simple de-stressing techniques.

The event includes a Kid’s Fun Zone and an Easter egg hunt, making it an engaging outing for all ages. Community members are invited to visit information tables hosted by DCH caregivers and physicians, including representatives from the Sleep Lab, Women’s Services, Cancer Services, Radiology, and more.
“This event is one of the many ways DCH connects with and supports the community through education and health resources,” said Chief Nursing Officer Dawn Alexander, who will also be available for interviews during the event.
Whether you're looking to improve your wellness or simply enjoy a fun day out, the DCH Community Health Fair offers something for everyone.
