The Divorce Rate in the US is Dropping

My radio partner Simone is getting married in less than 8 months. I have good news for her & marriage in general. The US divorce rate has fallen for the third consecutive year. Its the lowest divorce rate in 35 years,according to bloomberg.com

Marriage is also up a bit. The decline in couples getting married has stopped.

The highest divorce rate in the nation is in Washington,DC. The lowest divorce rate is in Hawaii.

This is all encouraging news for the institution of marriage. I have a friend who says "marriage is grand...but divorce cost me $50 grand".
