CMT’s Bayou Billionaires Stop By The Studio To Talk To Monk About Money, TV and Gas

When my buddies Justin and T.J. with Tide For Troops told me that the Bayou Billionaires Gerald and Kitten were going to stop by the studio, I got overly excited!

I, like the rest of the world am obsessed with the new slew of reality shows taking place in Louisiana right now (Bayou Billionaires, Duck Dynasty, Swamp People, Cajun Pawn Stars, Sons of Guns, Ragin' Cajuns, Swamp Pawn, etc.)

Bayou Billionaires follows family patriarch, Gerald, and matriarch, Kitten Dowden and their family adventures down in Shreveport. The Dowdens had a lifestyle change back in 2003 when they discovered their home sits on the fourth largest deposit of natural gas in the U.S. Now they have television cameras on them everyday as they join the Country Club, get new teeth and hire personal trainers.

They were in town last week in support of Tide For Troops, a local organization that brings much need moral boosts to our troops in the form of "Can I Get A Roll Tide?" t-shirts!

I also realized that Gerald and Kitten are two of the kindest people you'll ever meet.
