Your child has cancer. Four words you never want to hear but unfortunately it happens all too often and sometimes it even happens right here at home.

In my years of raising money to fight childhood cancer I've never learned how to fully cope with the fact that this deadly disease effects kids. For the family of Brookwood cheerleader Kelsey Hunnicut I'm sure it's no different.

A few days ago I received a request to join the 'Team Kelsey' fan page on Facebook. I visited the page before excepting and my heart was immediately touched by this young girl and the thought of the road that lies before she and her family.

Kelsey was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, the eighth most common form of childhood cancer, comprising 2.4% of all malignancies in pediatric patients, and approximately 20% of all primary bone cancers.
The Hunnicutt family needs our help. They're looking at an estimated $25,000 in medical expenses in the coming months and they've started fundraising by selling t-shirts and they now have a website for Kelsey to help organize funds at YouCaring.org. Please visit the site, join Team Kelsey on Facebook, share every link you can and get the word out to everyone!

Let's make a pact now and join together so that the Hunnicutt family never has to worry about a dime. Let's make sure their time is spent together with Kelsey and making sure she's happy and healthy.
