Breaking: Mass Shooting in West Blocton

Multiple people reportedly have been shot in northwestern Bibb County. According to Sheriff Jody Wade the incident took place around 10:00pm Thursday night in the Greentree Drive area of West Blocton.

A nearby resident told news partner ABC3340 that the residence is normally very quiet and as far as he knows, only one person lives there. He also revealed a neighbor contacted him to alert him to gunshots being fired at the residence. 

Law enforcement have sealed the area, but a coroner's vehicle was seen entering the area according to a neighbor.

Multipole law enforcement agencies are on the scene including the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).

No other information is being released at this time by authorities.
