The show is "IT: Welcome To Derry."

It's all part of the Stephen King franchise known as "IT".

The story of Pennywise the clown has been told several times over the years.

The movies over the last several years have been wildly successful. They featured a couple of the same kids who have made America go crazy for "Stranger Things".

In this new show, which aired the first season finale last night, a young star from Alabama has been given a substantial role in the hit show.

Blake Cameron James is the actor who plays Will Hanlon in season one.

James got his start in the Christmas production "The Sound of Christmas" in 2022.

The young actor is from just outside of Birmingham, Alabama.

He was nominated for a 2024 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Youth Performance.

He clearly has a bright future with the announcement that "IT: Welcome To Derry" will have a second season in 2027.

That is a testament to how popular the show has been in its first run.

Blake has been a big reason why, as his family and young friends on the show became the key to the first season.

We won't spoil anything in the event that you have not had a chance to watch all the episodes, but most fans seemed satisfied with the cliffhanger ending of season one on Sunday.

Love seeing a young Alabama actor doing such great work and receiving industry recognition.
