Birmingham Airport Clarifies They Don’t Hold Vehicle Auctions
We were contacted by the Birmingham Airport Authority to clarify that they do not actually auction abandoned vehicles.
According to the BAA, a contracted vendor held an auction last year of a number of pieces of equipment and vehicles for the BAA, but it did not include abandoned vehicles from the parking areas.
Any abandoned vehicles, after at least 6 months, are turned over to a tow service and any auctions are done by the third party, not the BAA.
The earlier story has been removed.
