West Alabama Works! is hosting a hiring fair for the automotive industry.

On Saturday, May 5, potential employees should find their ways to Central High School (905 15th Street; Tuscaloosa, AL 35401) between 8am and 12pm.

Applicants do not have to have previous experience in the automotive industry, but they must have a high school diploma or GED and meet a set of requirements which include possibly working rotating shifts, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and passing a background check and drug screen.

Companies said to be hiring include ARD Logistics, BLG Logistics, and Bolta US, Inc.  Others are Flex-N-Gate, LEAR Corporation, MacLellan, Mollertech, North American On-Site, Schnellecke Logistics, SMP Automotive Systems, and ZF Chassis Systems.  Compensation is stated to be up to $17 per hour.
