Alabamians Who Want a White Christmas: Here’s Where To Find Snow
Are you dreaming of waking up on Christmas morning to the magical stillness of a snow-covered world? A snowy Christmas morning is picturesque, or at least it is in the movies.
I’ve only experienced a snow-covered Christmas morning once, but it was in North Carolina. That morning involved shovels and driving on ice, so I’m not a fan.
What Defines a White Christmas?

White Christmas Locator Guide
“It's no surprise that the best chance for at least an inch of snow on the ground on Christmas morning will be in some of the higher elevations of the West,” said The Weather Channel. “There is also a good chance of a white Christmas from North Dakota into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as well as parts of northern New England.”
Let’s dive into the 2025 Old Farmer’s Almanac Christmas Forecast. They have highlighted three core areas that have the potential to see snow on Christmas morning.
New England: There is a chance of a white Christmas in Northern Maine, but nowhere else in the region.
High Plains: The northern part of the region may experience a white Christmas. The southern piece, mainly south of I-70, will see a white Christmas.
Intermountain: There is a chance of a white Christmas; there will be a white Christmas in the Rockies.
Whether snow is on the ground or not, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.
