James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said, "Significant snow is likely in a broad band from Southeast Texas through parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and into the Carolinas."

Timing

The current outlook for the timing of this potential winter storm is that it will start Tuesday morning and last through the evening hours. Please know that this information could change over the next few days.

Possible Risk Areas

The greatest chance of snow accumulation in Alabama currently lies along and south of Interstate 20, encompassing areas such as Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Anniston. Heavier amounts could also occur south of U.S. 80.
