Alabama Named One Of Riskiest States To Have Sex
After every other list we landed on, we now land near the top of this list.

It would be nice if we could land on a list of "best places to raise a family" or "best places to buy a house".
No, that's not the case this time around.
This time, it's a new study on the riskiest states for sex.
Let's dig into some key info before we break it down.
The info comes from a study by Lion’s Den that analyzed U.S. states across key criteria to identify the states where it’s better to think twice before having sex.
They claim the research compares states by sexual health resources, STD prevalence, reproductive outcomes, and policy on abortions and reproductive rights.
The final score ranks states from most to least risky, helping to identify where residents may face higher dangers related to sexual activity and highlighting regional disparities in sexual safety across America.
Here are the individual categories that put Alabama near the top of this list:
STD rate, which is pretty high.
The teen birth rate is also high.
Abortion rights, which in Alabama are banned.
Now, according to lionsden.com they conclude:
Looking at Alabama's composite score of 91.0, we can see multiple factors contributing to the state's sexual health risk profile. The combination of high STD rates, significant teen birth numbers, and restricted reproductive healthcare access creates a challenging environment for public health initiatives.
OK, once again, we have lots of work to do if we want to dig out of the cellar in this category.
For the sake of our young people, we need to do whatever it takes.
