Alabama Man Is Behind Much Talked About “Obsession” Movie
This is becoming more of a regular thing.

Hollywood and Alabama meet on the big screen. More and more movies are being filmed here in Alabama. More actors and actresses are coming from Alabama and making it big in entertainment. Now, one of the most talked about movies in theatres was created by an Alabamian.
"Obsession" is a supernatural horror film that has social media talking. The movie is about a young man named "Bear" (See, written by an Alabama guy) who works at a music store and buys a weird, supernatural toy. The toy grants him a wish, and of course, he wishes for his childhood friend to fall in love with him.

All of this leads to horrific consequences, as you might imagine. The film was written, directed, and edited by Curry Barker.
Barker is from Mobile, Alabama. He previously gained attention from an internet comedy sketch, "That's a Bad Idea," with his friend Cooper Tomlinson.
Barker is only 26 years old, and he's already directed two films that have gained lots of attention. In 2024, he directed "Milk & Serial," and now his "Obsession" is all the rage. He left home at the age of eighteen with sights set on making it in Los Angeles. Barker describes his days in school in Alabama as being a "straight C and D student."
His entertainment career is off and running, and his destiny is really in his hands. If he keeps making good career choices, you'll be hearing his name and seeing his movies for years to come.
