
Alabama Credit Union Hosting Bowling Event For Food Insecurity
Food insecurity is something that Alabama families have to face, likely more often than many may imagine. According to the West Alabama Food Bank, more than 292,330 children in Alabama are at risk today. They may not have had breakfast this morning, and some didn’t even have dinner last night.

Have you heard of Secret Meals for Hungry Children in Tuscaloosa?
This program was created by the Alabama Credit Union in 2008 with the goal of decreasing the number of children facing hunger over the weekend. The staff at Alabama Credit Union goes to the West Alabama Food Bank to pick up food packs, and on Fridays, they place the packs in the backpacks of students at school across West Alabama.
The Alabama Credit Union is inviting everyone in West Alabama to support Secret Meals For Hungry Children and help them Strike Out Hunger at Shindig Sunday, June 8th at 2p,
Folks are being asked to rally up their best team of 5 to make a difference for children living in food-insecure households.
