A View of Tuscaloosa from the Air

I had the opportunity to go hang out with the EAA Chapter 557 Young Eagles Saturday. I posted last week about the event. Tommy and Tina Hope head up the chapter and there were lots of planes and pilots ready for all the kids. Each child that took a free flight landed with a huge smile.

I got to take a flight too. Mr Dave Forgac with Dixie Air let me ride with him for about 30 min over Tuscaloosa. It was awesome. I snapped a few pics. I wish I had snapped a few more but I was to busy acting like a kid in a candy store. Dave even did a special request. I asked him if we could find my house. We did.

I called my wife from the plane and asked them to go stand by the mailbox and Mr. Dave and I made a few circles while they waved at the plane. (See, I really was acting like a kid!) Brody asked his mom, "How the the captain know where our house was?"! Kids.

If the children that took advantage of the free rides had half as much fun as I did, they had a BLAST! Thanks to you all at EAA Young Eagles! It was an awesome Saturday.
