I had the chance to speak with Tina Hope with the EAA this morning. This is really exciting stuff. The EAA Young Eagles Rally is scheduled for this Saturday!

The rally will be hosted at Tuscaloosa Regional Airport/General Aviation Center. This is totally free for the kids and give them a chance to take an airplane ride! The rally is part of the EAA Young Eagles Program, created to interest young people in aviation. Since the program was launched in 1992, volunteer EAA pilots have flown more than 1.4 million young people who reside in more than 90 countries.

Tina's husband, Tommy Hope, heads up the EAA Chapter 557 says:

Free airplane rides are just part of the Flight Rally, we hope to build one-on-one relationships between pilots and young people, giving a new generation a chance to learn more about the possibilities that exist in the world of aviation

Registration for the rally starts a 9am Saturday and flights begin at 10!
