Bessemer police are investigating 2 separate bomb threats TODAY that prompted an evacuation. The middle school was evacuated and the school checked and cleared for students to return to class.

Minutes later, another threat was posted again on social media concerning the high school.  Bessemer Police and the Jefferson County sheriff's deputies, evacuated the high school and conducted another search. Again, the building was cleared for students to go back to class.

Anyone who has any information about today events is urged to call 911.  This is a Class C felony and punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
