Workers Find Massive Gator Near 35th Street in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
How's this for a surprise: workers discovered a huge alligator near the train tracks on 35th Street in Tuscaloosa Tuesday morning.
The massive gator was approximately 12 feet long and was dead by the time workers arrived.
Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Traffic Reporter "Captain" Ray Allen spoke with those on site and says the prevailing thought is that the gator died as a result of injuries sustained from being struck by a train.

Allen says the Moody Swamp isn't far from the scene of the accident, which may explain what the gator was doing in an industrial area.
