Where to Take Your Photo with Santa Claus in Tuscaloosa
Now that Thanksgiving has passed and December has arrived, many people are looking to get a glimpse of Santa Claus before he finishes his busy Christmas season.
Thankfully, the jolly old man in red will make plenty of visits to Tuscaloosa to find out what you have on your Christmas list. He'll even be available to take photos with you at some of the locations so bring a camera!
Here are all of the places you can find Santa Claus around West Alabama during the month of December.
University Mall
Through Christmas EveEvery year, Santa makes a lot of appearances at University Mall at the intersection of 15th Street and McFarland Blvd. Here are the hours you can see him:
MON-SAT: 10a-1p, 2p-5p, 6p-9p
SUN: 1p-3p, 3:30p-5:30p

Midtown Village
Every Saturday Through December 20Santa will be available every Saturday at Midtown Village, where the outdoor shopping mall will also have a train running around the Green. Families are invited to bring their children and camera to the free event that will take place every Saturday until December 20. You'll find Santa in space #106 next to New York & Company.
Breakfast with Santa
December 6, 8:30-10:30AMPARA is giving children the chance to meet Santa at the Belk Activity Center at Bowers Park on Saturday, December 6. The event is $6 and includes breakfast, crafts, and a printed photo with Santa. Visit tcpara.org for more info.
Children's Hands-On Museum
December 6The Children's Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa is hosting Santa and Mrs. Claus for Candyland breakfasts and brunch. There will be treats, photo opportunities, and crafts inside the Elf Workshop! Reservations need to be made if you want to attend, which you can do here.
West Alabama Christmas Parade
December 8 at 6:30PMSanta will make his yearly appearance at the West Alabama Christmas Parade. The event begins with a tree lighting ceremony in Downtown Tuscaloosa followed by the parade at 6:30PM. This year's theme is 'Let It Snow' and you'll be able to see Santa in his sleigh as part of the show.
Photos for Pets
December 2, 4, & 7Pet Supplies Plus on McFarland Blvd will give Tuscaloosa residents three opportunities to have their pet's photo taken with Santa Claus. The cost is $10 per photo, which benefits the Humane Society of West Alabama, and you will receive a 4" x 6" color photo.
Here are the available times:
- Tuesday (Dec. 2) from 4:30pm to 7:30pm
- Thursday, (Dec. 4) from 4:30pm to 7:30pm
- Sunday (Dec. 7) from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
