West AlabamaWorks! is proud to present WOW 2.0: Classroom to Career, an exciting workforce development event taking place Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy. This powerful one-day event gives graduating high school seniors the chance to connect directly with employers, explore career paths, and secure contingent job offers before graduation.

Designed to bridge the gap between education and employment, WOW 2.0 builds on the success of past World of Work (WOW) events with a targeted focus: helping students transition from classroom learning to meaningful careers in West Alabama’s thriving industries.

Key highlights:

  • Over 20+ employers expected on-site
  • Seniors from across the region participating
  • Real-time interviews and hiring opportunities
  • Media-friendly visuals and student-employer engagement
  • FREE for all participating businesses and students

"It's a great opportunity to actually hire students that are going to be in the workforce,” said West AlabamaWorks executive director Donny Jones. “They are going to be graduating, and then they are going to be applying for jobs. So why not be proactive and connect with these students at an early time, at an early age, before they actually leave high school?"
