The Townsquare Media Weather Center wishes you a happy holiday season, complete with some very unseasonal late December warmth.

The Weather Channel said that “A winter heat wave stretching from the South into the Plains and West could break records for the warmest Christmas on record with highs up to 30 degrees above average.”

James Spann, Alabama Weather Network and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said that “showers will be very hard to find; Christmas Day, Thursday will be dry with a partly sunny sky.”

Santa must be delivering sunshine this year. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are shaping up to be mostly sunny to sunny across much of West Alabama, making a perfect holiday present.
