I haven't lived with my parents in a couple decades. I have stayed with them for small amounts of time here and there over the years but nothing significant. This week my dad will start a job here in Tuscaloosa and be here for several weeks.

My wife and I have extended an invitation for him to stay with us. He'll head home on Fridays and be back on Sundays. Our three year old will give "BigDaddy" his room and sleep on a pallet in our room. This shall be an interesting time. Will he take over my recliner? Will he give me pointers on how to rake leaves? Will my wife's cooking be to his liking? Am I building fires in the fireplace the right way?

It's a little nerve raking. Granted, we have welcomed him with open arms,  He will be here for several weeks and I (we) have the desire to "show" that he and my mother actually taught me a few things. BigDaddy arrives this evening, Mama said she's sending some cookies and a couple rolls of toilet paper...oh, and some Kool-Aid packs. We are exited. There will be more on this soon.
