Mayor Walt Maddox told the Steve Shannon Morning Show that the Tuscaloosa City Council will have a roundtable discussion about increasing gun violence after tonight’s city council meeting.

Maddox said the city is all-in with its effort to fight crime. The mayor called on state and federal partners to help. He said churches and community agencies can target & help our most vulnerable youth.

Mayor Maddox also reacted to a private city council pizza party held Monday. The mayor was not invited.

And Maddox told 953 The Bear that news should come soon regarding the fate of Chief Financial  Officer Susan Snowden. Snowden was placed on administrative leave for undisclosed reasons.
