Why Tuscaloosa, Alabama Has Always Known Urban Meyer Is Trash
Oh, he’s done it again.
I, as an Alabama fan, hate to kick a man when he’s down. But I’m just chuckling, not kicking.
And let’s be honest, Alabama fans have known all along that Urban Meyer is not exactly Brother Theresa (as in Mother Theresa…you get it). Now, the Jacksonville coach is saying he’s sorry for the “distraction” he caused his team.
This video of Urban went viral showing a young woman grinding on him at an Ohio bar, even though he's been married to his wife Shelly since 1986.
He spoke with the media yesterday and said he had apologized to his team. He called the incident a distraction and said it was “stupid.”
Before the dancing video went viral, his wife had commented on another photo of the coach out with friends, sharing that she had stayed home to babysit the couple's grandkids with the hashtag, #BuddyDeservedANightOut.
Meyer‘s wife has not said anything since his apology, and he did not mention his wife during the press conference. Meyer went on to say, “They wanted me to come over and take pictures, and I did. Tried to pull me out on the dance floor and screwing around, and I should’ve left.”
Oh, Urban.
I am always in favor of second, third or even fourth chances. Urban has had 17. For example, the fake heart attack. The Zach Smith scandal, for which he was suspended several games in 2018.
Chris Doyle, strength coach, fired by Iowa for racist remarks and hired by Urban Meyer. Retiring TWICE over "health concerns". He could have intervened with Aaron Hernandez before things went off the rails.
That's just a few off the top of my head. Case closed.
It brings me to a great question. Who do you think is the trashiest SEC coach of all time? Message me in our free mobile app below:
