Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder Rescheduled For October 9

The trilogy fight between "The Gypsy King" Tyson Fury (30-0-1) and "The Bronze Bomber" Deontay Wilder (42-1-1) that was originally scheduled for July 24 now has a new date. The fight, postponed due to Fury contracting COVID-19, has now been rescheduled for Oct. 9 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

"I wanted nothing more than to smash the 'Big Dosser' on July 24, but I guess the beating will have to wait," Fury said. "Make no mistake, I will be back and better than ever. We will fight Oct. 9, and I will knock him spark out!"

Fury, now 33, defeated Wilder by seventh-round TKO in the two fighters February 2020 second fight. Fury had intended to unify the heavyweight championship by taking on Anthony Joshua in a super fight but was instead litigated into taking a trilogy fight with Wilder.

Wilder was able to knock down "The Lineal Champion" twice near the end of the competitor's first fight in December 2018. The two big shots were enough to move the judges as the fight ended in a split-decision draw.

Alabama Crimson Tide football fans wishing to support Wilder will find themselves in conflict on Oct. 9. The Crimson Tide will be in College Station, TX. to take on the Texas A&M Aggies in what will be one of the most premiere games of the weekend.
